Another thing to get checked before the cold rolls in is your chimney. Now, this is a bigger issue up north than it is down here in the semi-tropical climes. The residue from past years can actually form a flammable situation, hence, the need for a chimney sweep (chim-chimmeny, blah, blah, Dick Van Dyke was great at that song!)

Get a check-up on that and your other systems.
