» toronto416 - What's the top priority to get the house winterized?

What do you think is most important?

Take care.

It depends on where you live. I think an inspection for leaks around windows, doors, etc. Might need some more caulking or weatherstripping.

A test run on the heater is a good idea too. If there is anything wrong with it those repair guys are swamped when the first cold front rolls through.

Another thing to get checked before the cold rolls in is your chimney. Now, this is a bigger issue up north than it is down here in the semi-tropical climes. The residue from past years can actually form a flammable situation, hence, the need for a chimney sweep (chim-chimmeny, blah, blah, Dick Van Dyke was great at that song!)

Get a check-up on that and your other systems.
